The highlight of the year for Pwnies is approaching! This year's
DefCon qualifications are happening in the weekend 14.-16. of June and YOU are invited!

This year we'll share location with the European Nopsled Team, who has secured a sponsorship for two conference rooms at Crowne Plaza and is willing to share one of them with us -- and one of our members has been able to get us some hotel rooms at the nearby Cabinn Hotel. We will also serve free beer (while stock lasts) -- so show up and enjoy!

The competition starts saturday 15. of June at 2 am and lasts for 48
hours -- but we expect that most people waits for saturday morning to
show up (hint: delays). It is fine to be there only for a part of the
weekend.

We meet friday the 14. of June at 5pm at DIKU, where we will arrange
for something to eat -- our current plan is to have a barbeque if the
weather allows it. Afterwards we will go together to Crowne Plaza for
those who wants to be there from the start.

You should bring:
- Laptop (preferably with linux, but other OS's can be made to work)
- Ethernet cable (if you have one)
- Switch (shouldn't be necessary, but better safe than sorry)
- Extension cord (see above)

No skills are required in order to participate, as we will be helping
newcommers during the competition. You are also welcome if you just
want to see how we work and feel the atmosphere.

The competition is a classical jeopardy style CTF, which means that
it is a team competition with a lot of seperate tasks in different
categories and of varying difficulty. Because Pwnies (is assumed) to
be pre-qualified because of earlier results, the pressure to win will
be smaller than the previous years, so our senior members will have
time to help out less experienced members.

We would like for you to sign up if you plan to participate, but it is
not a requirement -- if you suddenly find out that you have nothing
better to do saturday night, then give us a call and join us!
